Northern Lights: A hospital birth in Southern Vermont
"After many days of waiting and wondering, she knew without a doubt. Through the night, Northbound I went, to watch over my 30th pair. Steamy shower, crouched on the floor, fogging up my camera lens. Crystal clear water, pitch dark and candle light. Not a moment to waste, not a moment too soon, she seemed to rise up as the baby came, hovering almost in the air. Tomorrow I'll drive through the rolling Vermont hills to visit them, nestled in their home, reflect on the coming of their girl. Grateful for the journey each time."
